NAYADA, Russia’s largest designer and manufacturer of interior partition systems, and the communications agency ProjectNext have announced the launch of «ArchChallenge 2013: Flex Office», an international contest in design and architecture. Contestants are invited to design furniture for a quick and easy transformation of space under various scenarios of work and optimal arrangement of business processes in a modern office. The key elements are the transformability, functionality, convenience, and simplicity.

ArchChallenge provides a unique opportunity for young talented designers and architects to realize their creative ideas. Contestants have a real chance to launch their projects into production, to be presented at international exhibitions and to enter the world market. Professional architects and designers, as well as students, are invited to participate, regardless of their country of residence.

Nominations:

• workplaces for «open space»
• bench systems
• communication zones | communications

Objective: to design furniture for quick and easy transformations of space under various scenarios of work, and optimal arrangement of business processes in a modern office, to design effective furniture solutions for a flexible office environment, taking into account the current trend of «activity based office».

Prizes:

• 1st place: 100,000 rubles / in each nomination /
• 2nd place: 70,000 rubles / in each nomination /
• 3rd place: 30,000 rubles / in each nomination /

The total prize fund is 600,000 rubles.

Specials prize — the ProjectNext

The best concepts will be realized in prototypes and may be put into mass production by NAYADA. Their authors will receive royalties, and their names will appear in official catalogs of NAYADA, in international exhibitions and directly on the products.

About the contest:

First launched in 2005 under the name of «Office Space: creativity, technology, innovation», the ArchChallenge has become Russia’s first creative contest in designing office interiors and equipment. More than 2,000 applications were received and many bright works were appreciated during seven competitive cycles. Some of them were realized in the production program of NAYADA. The successful participation in the contest was a key moment in the career of a number of young designers.
